Extreme Element - About Us
Extreme Element (www.exelement.co.uk) was launched in November 2006  to become the industry's specialist, combining experience with innovation to offer the coolest and most enjoyable adventure activities available today.

Whilst we remain to be the only gift voucher agency that is 100% dedicated to extreme sports; resting on our laurels is not something we’re keen on and being the specialist isn’t where our expertise finish. Through our Book&Go system that launched in 2008, we can offer real-time bookings that connect the extreme sport enthusiast to the supplier in a quick, simple and effective way.

And, in April 2008 we ventured abroad and successfully launched our Spanish site (www.exelement.es) to provide extreme sport experiences to the local communities and those holidaying Brits that simply can’t do without an adrenaline fix.

We’ve sampled the way of life and have no qualms in admitting that we are addicted! We live, sleep and breathe extreme sports and even if we wanted to; we couldn’t give them up! Every lucky member of the Extreme Element team is an active enthusiast, bringing experience, knowledge and cuts and bruises to the table. We are in no doubt that it’s this level of involvement that guided us to the prestigious entourage of over 200 accredited centres, allowing us to offer more than 80 different extreme sport activities, each with our stamp of ‘value’ and informed approval.

Our corporate activity days and vouchers are also something special, we’ve found that the mixture of desirable activities combined with team building camaraderie gives tangible results, and provides unforgettable memories to sustain the office buzz.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Our board of
directors strive to turn our dreams into a reality.

Pipa Nogaro
Managing Director: How can we make this dream happen in today’s challenging environments? A bit about Pipa:

Pipa brings in-depth experience in corporate finance with over 8 years of Investment Banking and Private Equity experience, at Citigroup, ARF (the first Argentine Public Offer Trust Fund for investors in capital markets) and Columbus MB; a boutique Investment Bank he founded with former Citibankers. Pipa always had a great passion for action sports and during his MBA at INSEAD he met Extreme Element’s team. Shortly after, he couldn’t resist and jumped on board to make realistic and achievable steps toward the dream. Whilst making everyone’s life a bit more extreme, Pipa leads the day to day efforts of the business, making sure we hit the ground running...

Al Gosling
Non-Executive Director: Who better to orchestrate leading changes in the Extreme world if it’s not with Mr Extreme himself? A bit about Al:

Al developed a passion for extreme sports during his early teens and following a number of jobs went on to set up a business that would rapidly grow into the Extreme Group. Aged 24 and unable to find a job that interested him, Al set up Extreme with the goal of mixing sports and business, working with great people and having fun while making it happen. Running on a shoestring budget, he took the first steps to achieving this with the launch of the world's first TV channel dedicated to extreme sports; The Extreme Sports Channel. The goal was to launch a 24/7 TV channel broadcasting these sports worldwide, via satellite to an under-served audience. And, the rest as they say; ‘is history’. Since then, Al and the team have taken the Brand and broadened its reach into drinks, shops, mobile phones, theme parks and clothing.

Tim Brickle
Founder & Non-Executive Director: How can we create a great impact on the world if it’s not through the internet? Who better than a man who pioneered the online adventure sports world? A bit about Tim:

Tim has been in the adventure travel and online marketing business for the past 9 years. After two and a half years working as Online Marketing Manager at Cactus Language, Tim took a break to travel through Central America. Upon returning to the UK, he founded what has now become one of the busiest activity holiday sites on the net - adventuresportsholidays.com. A chance meeting with Al at Extreme led to the creation of Extreme Element. Tim’s focus is on sustaining Extreme’s position at the crest of the wave on the online world, making sure we are always there first.

Pascal Tiemann
Non-Executive Director: Who better to aid our European adventure than a man who has played a role in the shape of the leisure world? Pascal brings priceless experience from years in the industry to our team. A bit about Pascal:

Pascal previously worked in several leisure and leisure-services companies, including The Tussauds Group and Petri & Tiemann Consulting Company. For two years he was also employed in the Leisure sector team at UBS Investment Bank where he was involved in key landmark transactions. More recently, Pascal was part of the team that established Kings Park Capital; a private equity fund dedicated to investments in the leisure sector.
