Drive an articulated lorry on a circuit and appreciate a whole new form of driving! Pump the gears and feel the hydraulics as they hiss with your every command! With expert advice sat right next to you, you will be learning to control a giant of the road and be able to finally understand the mystery of articulated lorry driving! They are big, they are brash and they encompass a whole different type of driving skill, and this is your chance to drive one of the biggest and craziest contraptions on the road!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Lorry Driving Special will begin with a safety briefing covering all aspects of the lorry and the track upon which you will master in the 55ft beast! Then, after the theory you will be free to drive the DAF XF, complete with the trailer attached! You will be mastering the 16 gears on a racing circuit laid out with cones amongst other challenges with a pro next to you, controlling a huge machine! Your day will come to a halt with the presentation of your personalised driving certificate.

Restrictions
Drivers under the influence will not be permitted onto the site.
Full Driving License is required and you must be able to drive a manual transmission.
Minimum Age: 17
Minimum Height: 5'0"
Maximum Height: 6'6"
Maximum Weight: 18 stone
These restrictions are guidelines, if you are slightly outside of them please contact us for more details and to check viability.

International driving licences are acceptable as long as you are eligable to drive on British roads.

Duration
Please allow 2 hours at the centre for this experience.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.
Photos are available at all venues provided by professional photographers and come at an extra charge.
Hot and Cold drinks and food are available on site and aimed to be available on all event days.

Group Size / Spectators
All spectators are welcome, children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a non-participating adult at all times.
Strictly no dogs allowed on site.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by extreme weather conditions, Events still run in the rain, if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off. Being an outdoor event please dress for the weather conditions. Airfields/circuits are exposed and can be inclement.
