Goodwood

Situated on the estate of Goodwood House and near the picturesque seaside town of Chichester, Goodwood Race Circuit is as beautiful as it is challenging. The circuit was made famous during the 9-hour endurance races first conducted in the late fifties and early sixties. Even before then, Stirling Moss was completing the track in record time as part of the first and soon to be popular 500cc races of 1948. The circuit is happily considered lengthy at 2.4 miles, and famously fought many battles to resist the need for a chicane during the late sixties. Since its re-open, Goodwood has been celebrated for its historic feel and high speeds that it comfortably accommodates. The mere fact that the ‘Festival of Speed’ is held annually inside the estate walls is no coincidence!
