20 Minute Microlighting Trial Flight

Experience true freedom with nothing but picturesque scenery and complete tranquil beauty! For centuries man has attempted to achieve the ultimate aim of flight, and now that dream can be realised with Ex Element. This fantastic experience will give you the sensation of flying with the birds and totally un-rivalled aerial views. You will either fly a fixed-wing or flex-wing aircraft, and you'll be cruising over the countryside at around 50-60 mph at up to 2000 feet. Why not have a go at being transported into a new and unique dimension. You will have a truly magical experience that will long remain a treasured memory.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing. After the flight and safety briefing it is time to carry out a full preflight safety check on the aircraft before moving onto the runway. Once airborne you'll climb to around 2000 feet and be involuntarily subjected to a marvellous view of the surrounding countryside. Depending on the weather conditions, and whether you want to or not, you can have a go at flying the aircraft. Your instructor will show you how to perform basic flight maneuvers like turning, climbing and descending. Note that depending on your location, you will fly with a flex-wing or a fixed-wing.

Restrictions
Minimum age: 14
Maximum Weight: 15-16.5 stone (location dependant)
If you have a medical condition that you think may affect your ability to do this experience, please give us a call before booking.
Customers must call us for a weather check on the morning of their flight, (between 9-9.30am), or the evening before (between 7pm and 9pm) whatever the forecast.

Duration
You should allow 1.5 - 2 hours for the whole experience.
Your flight will last approximately 20 minutes dependent on weather conditions and which centre you choose.

What to Wear / Equipment
All equipment will be provided. It is a good idea to bring along a warm jacket or sweatshirt, as even on the warmest of days it can be a little chilly in the sky. You must wear closed shoes like trainers and in Winter you might also want to wear an extra pair of socks.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome and cameras are recommended.
Dogs are not allowed within the Airfield for safety reasons.

Weather
Microlighting is a weather dependent experience, you must check with the centre before setting off to ensure your flight is going ahead.
We do not advise you to travel more than two hours to the centre as experiences may be cancelled due to weather conditions.

Availability
Flights run daily (except Mondays and Wednesdays).
Flying season runs from (start) May-Oct (end).
Dependent on availability and weather conditions; your experience will be in either a flexi or fixed wing Microlight.
We advise you to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
