Experience true freedom in the air! If you've ever fancied having a go at flying, here's an opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement of this fantastic form of flight. You'll experience for yourself the immense sensation of flying in one of these small yet robust aircraft. You will either fly a fixed-wing or flex-wing aircraft, and you'll be cruising over the countryside at around 50-60 mph at up to 2000 feet. Why not have a go at being transported into a new and unique dimension. You will have a truly magical experience that will long remain a treasured memory.
Experience Content
After a flight and safety briefing and carrying out a full preflight safety check on the aircraft you will taxi out onto the runway. Once airborne you'll climb to around 2000 feet from where you'll have a marvelous view of the surrounding countryside. Depending on the weather conditions, and whether you want to or not, you can have a go at flying the aircraft. And your instructor will show you how to perform basic flight maneuvers like turning, climbing and descending.

Duration
You should allow around an hour for the whole experience, Your flight will last approximately 20 - 30 minutes dependent on weather conditions.
What to Wear / Equipment
All equipment will be provided. It is a good idea to bring along a warm jacket or sweatshirt, as even on the warmest of days it can be a little chilly in the sky. In Winter you might also want to wear an extra pair of socks.

Weather
Microlight flights can be affected by extreme weather, please call the centre before setting off to ensure your flight is going ahead.
Availability
This experience is available all year round. Dependent on availability and weather conditions your experience will be in either a flexi or fixed wing Microlight. Available in Essex between the months of April and November only
Restrictions
Minimum age is 14. Weight Restrictions: Max weight is 15 Stone. If you have a medical condition that you think may affect your ability to do this experience, please check with the centre when booking.
