Abseil Experience - East Grinstead

In a busy stressful life, we all need outlets to unwind. What better way to beat your stress than by facing your fear as you reluctantly lean back over the edge and maneuver your way down either the abseil tower (Sussex) or cliff face (Anglesey)! This great taster lets you learn the basics of an immensely popular sport with expert guidance and all safety equipment included. Once you feel confident enough, there are a range of abseil testers that you can up the adrenaline with, including completing your descent blindfolded! This 2 hour introduction is highly recommended and will teach you the basics of a sport that you set the limits on.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the wall or cliff and the equipment you are to wear on the experience. Once briefed you’ll be ready to put the the theory to the test! With your instructor’s guidance, you will have multiple attempts at abseiling either down the face of the tower or cliff. Abseiling is extremely rewarding because every descent improves your confidence, improving your skill and technique. If you think you’ve got to grips with it and are feeling confident enough, you can even try it blindfolded!

Restrictions
Min. Age: 10. Under 18's must be accompanied by a PARTICIPATING Parent / Guardian.
You should have a reasonable level of fitness.
  

Duration
This experience will last for approx 2 hours

What to Wear / Equipment
All abseiling and safety equipment is supplied by the centre.
You should wear suitable comfortable fitting clothing and trainers. NO JEANS.
Due to the nature of the locations, waterproof and warm clothing is advised.

Group Size / Spectators
There will be maximum of 12 people taking part in the session, and spectators are more than welcome to come and watch your daring descent!

Weather
This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.
