Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a safety briefing before it's time for you and your friends to clamber inside the Sphere! The Sphere consists of two chambers: The outer chamber, which is the shell of the Sphere, is 12ft (3.6m) tall, and the inner chamber is 6ft (1.8m) tall, meaning there is a 3ft (0.9m) cushion of air. 30 liters of water are then put into the mix before you are given a push and begin your descent to the bottom of the hill! You can expect to reach speeds of up to 30mph, and you can definitely expect to be dizzy and wet at the bottom!

Very friendly and enthusiastic staff on site. Had to wait about an hour for the roll but we were forewarned about this. The experience itself was great: unlike harness sphereing, which has a reasonable scare factor, I'm not sure it fits into the 'extreme' category. It's about as extreme as a steep waterslide. But it's undoubtedly fun, not to mention slightly stupid - you are rolling down a hill inside an inflatable ball filled with water, after all. It is expensive, though. Extreme Element's prices were the cheapest I found for 3-person aqua sphereing, but it's still nearly Â£22 per head. Depending on where you are, you may find places near you in the UK (not affiliated with SphereMania) that offer similar deals for up to 40% less. Would I do aqua sphereing again? Probably not, but that's because the frankly insane air sphereing has just caught my eye instead. Riding the ball in an indoor skydiving tunnel, with the fan turned up to 11? It's got to be worth a shot...
