Aqua Sphereing for 3, Sphereing Experience Day

This crazy experience gives you the opportunity to realise what it actually feels like inside a washing machine! Well, you have been wondering haven’t you?! This craze has developed from our extreme brothers down under and has taken the UK by storm. Making appearances on The Gadget Show, Dr. Who and much more, Sphereing has quickly become a ‘Must-Do’ experience and sits high on everyone’s list! This type of Sphereing even includes 30L of water to give you the real effect of a washing machine! Best enjoyed with a friend or two, Aqua Sphereing for 3 is ideal for a good giggle with your mates or loved ones! Just get ready for uncontrollable laughter during and after this great experience.

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a safety briefing before it's time for you and your friends to clamber inside the Sphere! The Sphere consists of two chambers: The outer chamber, which is the shell of the Sphere, is 12ft (3.6m) tall, and the inner chamber is 6ft (1.8m) tall, meaning there is a 3ft (0.9m) cushion of air. 30 liters of water are then put into the mix before you are given a push and begin your descent to the bottom of the hill! You can expect to reach speeds of up to 30mph, and you can definitely expect to be dizzy and wet at the bottom!

Weight Restrictions: Maximum 16stone (Women) 18stone (Men) (60" girth)
Age Restrictions: Minimum age is 7 for all locations except Scotland – where its 16 (Parental consent is required in all locations if under 18)

It is strongly recommended that you do not eat too much or consume any alcohol before riding in the Sphere. Please Note: Aqua-Sphereing is not suitable if you are pregnant, suffering from high blood pressure, any heart condition or epilepsy, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have any back or neck problems or have had an operation within the past twelve months, currently undergoing any medical treatment or have any other condition that may be affected by participating in such an activity.

Duration

As a guide, please expect to be at the site for around an hour. However, at certain times in the season, the waiting time may be longer than this.

What to Wear / Equipment

Please wear a long sleeved t-shirt and comfortable trousers. Remember - you will get wet! So bring a towel and change of clothes. You also need to bring socks and gloves to wear in the Aqua Sphere. All Sphere-ers need to remove ALL jewellery - watch, rings, necklace, piercings etc.

Group Size / Spectators

You are welcome to bring along friends and relatives to watch. There are strict health & safety regulations in place that must be followed by all whilst on site.

Weather

Sphereing can be affected by extreme weather, if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.

Availability

Aqua-sphereing is available from April until the end of September, operating most weekends and on selected weekdays.
In Newquay, and Paington it is available from May until September.
