Ariel Atom Experience

The Ariel Atom is a high performance sports car, with a motorcycle-derived 500bhp V8 engine. The Atom is unusual in that it is exoskeleton — the chassis is the body — and therefore lacks a roof, windows and other features normally found on road cars. With a top speed of around 150mph, the power to weight ratio is something to behold, with a 0-60mph time of a fraction under 2.5 seconds - this is one outstandingly fast lightweight car! Having beaten the lap times of a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 and a Porsche Carrera GT, this vehicle is not only stunning looking, but an absolute monster out on the track!

Agenda

Your experience will begin with a welcome introduction and a demonstration lap with an instructor who will run through the safety & driving techniques in a performance saloon car. This gives you the opportunity so see how the instructor takes the racing line and corners to give you the most out of your experience. You will then strap into the driving seat of the Ariel Atom for 3 or 4 hair raising laps (longer track in Surrey), followed by 1 high speed lap as a passenger in a (track dependent) BMW M3 CSL driven by an instructor. Your day will finish with a presentation of a certificate of your driving experience.

Restrictions
Drivers under the influence will not be permitted onto the site.
Full Driving License is required.

Maximum Height: 6'6"
Maximum Weight: 17 stone

Duration
Allow 2 hours at the venue for the Ariel Atom Experience.

What to Wear / Equipment
Please wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are more than welcome and camera's are recommended, strictly no pets allowed.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.

Availability
This Experience is available on selected weekdays & selected weekends throughout the year. Please note that there are very limited events between October and March due to the weather.
