This is your chance to climb on Britain's highest mountain and it will be one heck of a day. Under the guidance of your own qualified mountaineering instructor you will tackle one of the classic mountain routes on Ben Nevis or if weather restricts - Glencoe. You will climb through rock & ice and when you pop your head up your eyes will marvel at some of the most spectacular views that the British Isles has to offer. When you get back to the centre you will relax with a hot drink and steam & sauna - the perfect environment for reflecting on a day that you will remember all of your life!
Experience Content
The day will start at the centre where you will meet your personal guide for the day - he or she will be a qualified mountaineering instructor. After a safety briefing you will be issued with your equipment and its time for the mountain! Your instructor will place all the ropes and safety measures - meaning that you will be able to enjoy your day in a safe and controlled environment. Over the course of the day you will climb high into the mountain through rock and/or ice and will have plenty of time to take in the breath taking scenery. Your day will finish back at the centre where you will have a debrief over a hot drink before heading for a well deserved steam and sauna. A CD:ROM containing photo's of your day will provide you with a lasting memento.

Duration
This is a full day experience that will last around ten hours in total.
What to Wear / Equipment
All equipment will be provided by the centre. Dress up warm, layers are best so that you can remove some if you get hot. Wear waterproofs if you own them. Take clothes to change into when your experience has finished.

Extreme weather conditions can affect this experience, please call the centre the day before to check that it is going ahead.
Availability
This experience is available all year round; it is even more extreme in the winter!
Restrictions
Minimum age is 14 in the summer and 16 in the winter (Nov-April) - parental consent is needed for under 16's.
No weight or height restrictions, but minimum boot size is adult size four.
You need to have a reasonable level of fitness to do this experience.
Please note that your climb may be on either Ben Nevis or Glencoe, the centre will choose the location depending on conditions.
