Discover Indoor Climbing

Indoor climbing is a great sport that people of all shapes, age and fitness levels can enjoy. Climbing walls have sprung up all over the country and with some basic training anyone can enjoy this sport which challenges both mind and body. Extreme Elements 'Discover Indoor Climbing' is a taster session that is run out of leading climbing centres around the country, the sessions last from one and a half to two hours and depending on the centre will also include an abseil, a fan drop or moving on to more advanced climbing techniques. The sessions are run by experienced instructors who will guide you through your first climbing experience and it is a great way to get a feel for the sport. Agenda

You will arrive at the centre for the start of your session and meet with the instructors who will give you a safety briefing and a run down on indoor climbing which includes the basic skills that you will use on the wall. You will then get to test yourself on the wall with the instructors on hand to offer tips & advice and to ensure your safety. Your session will finish with having a go at abseiling (London & Fort William) or having a go at more advanced climbing techniques (Gloucester & Swansea).

Restrictions
Minimum Age:
North London: 18
Swansea: 8 (Under 16's must be accompanied by an adult, 16-18 must have signed, written consent by parent or guardian)
Fort William: 7
Gloucester: 16

Duration
This experience will last from 1.5 hours to 2 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
Any equipment needed will be supplied by the centre. You should wear trainers and unrestrictive clothes.

Group Size / Spectators
There will be a maximum of nine climbers per instructor. If you would like to bring a spectator please check with the centre when booking.

Weather
Indoor Climbing is not weather dependent.
