Kayaking is one of the most exciting, affordable and versatile water sports available. The sport cover a huge range of different disciplines such as exploring inland waterways, surfing breaking waves, negotiating white water, doing acrobatics (!), to competing in sprint and slalom events. Basically, when it comes to kayaking, the world is your oyster once you have the basic skills under your belt! If kayaking is something that you've always fancied then our Discover Kayaking intro could be the perfect taster for you, it consists of an hour's private tuition with an experienced instructor who will provide you with an insight into the exciting world of kayaking. You will get out on the water and be taught some paddling techniques; this experience will give you a real feel for the sport.

Experience Content

Upon arrival at the centre your instructor will meet you and get you kitted out in your wetsuit and give you a quick introduction to the equipment before you head out on to the water. You will be taught basic paddling and safety techniques and will have a great hour out on the water.

Duration

Your experience will last for approximately one hour. (2 hours in Llangollan,Wales)

What to Wear / Equipment

The centre will provide you with a wetsuit and buoyancy aid etc. You will need to bring a swimming costume and towel. Also, if it's hot take some sun block and if it's not take some warm clothes to change into afterwards.

Spectators are welcome. There will be a maximum of 8 people per instrucutor.

Discover Kayaking is available all year.

Restrictions

Age requirements: Min age is 8 years (Under 18's must have parental consent).
All Participants must be confident in the water.
Minimum of 2 persons at Llangollan (Wales) Max of 21 persons per group.
Ratios are 1:6 Instructor to people.
