Exmas Awesome Foursome - Sheffield

Exmas Special! We’ve decided to add a little extra spice to the Exmas list with awesome adrenalin adventure! The Abyss at Magna is the only indoor extreme sports centre in the UK, and gives you the chance to experience four great activities! Starting with the confidence building Zip Wire Ride, you will reach speeds of up to 30mph on the 250ft wire, which is the longest indoor Zip Wire in the UK! Next up you’ll be ushered to the 150ft Abseil where you will descend into a deep and dark Abyss! With the music booming and the lights flashing, you will be staring fear in the face as you brave the parachute simulator next on this adrenalin pumping day! Feel the rush of the 150ft sheer drop as gravity takes charge, before the braking system kicks in and safely lowers you back to Earth! Then, it’s time for the big one, the indoor bungee. After climbing a mere 143 steps to the jump zone you’ll be faced by a blast of dry ice and then it’s over to you, it’s bungee time! An awesome day of indoor adrenalin-pumping activities!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a saftey briefing covering all four indoor activities that you will be bravely experiencing on ths Exmas treat! Then you will be fitted into the harness that you are to wear for the day, before making your way to the 250ft Zip Wire. Once ‘zipped’ and safely landed, you’ll be ready for some more action as you begin the 150ft Abseil. After these two confidence-building descending activities, you’ll be ready to roll and itching for the parachute simulator. Here you will drop a further 150ft before being safely lowered back down, once the braking system has kicked in. Then, to finish this Awesome Foursome adventure you will be making your way to the bungee jump! It’s then over to you as you throw yourself from the platform in semi-darkness and with dry ice filling the air! Photos and merchandise are available to purchase at the end of this great indoor experience.

Restrictions
Minimum age is 14. Under 16s need a parent/guardian's signature.

Over 50s will need a doctor's certificate to jump.

You must be in good health and you must make the centre aware of any medical conditions that you think may affect you being able to jump.

Glasses and contact lenses MUST be removed prior to your jump.

You can not bungee jump if you have any of the following: high blood pressure, heart condition, dizziness/epilepsy, pregnancy, asthma, neurological condition and diabetes.

Duration
Please arrive 30 minutes before your allotted time to ensure that all security checks and briefing can be done.
You can expect to be at the centre for several hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
Dress in comfortable, casual clothes. Skirts are not recommended (think about it).

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring cameras!

Weather
The Awesome Foursome is indoors and is therefore weather-proof!

Availability
Available on selected Saturdays throughout the year.
The voucher for this experience can be purchased up until Dec 24th 09, experience must be taken before 1st Mar 2010.
