Exmas Special - 2 for 1 Kayaking - East Grinstead

Exmas Special! This great introduction to a growing sport is an ideal Christmas present that will hopefully ignite a new passion for an outdoor sport, what more can you ask of a gift?! Kayaking has developed into one of our greatest sports as it combines a mixture of skill, exercise and the great outdoors into one very rewarding activity. Once you've learnt the basic safety techniques, the open water is your oyster as you have a free license to enjoy practicing the skills and techniques of kayaking. With your expert instructor guiding the group on the tour, you can expect to be well and truly introduced to the sport by the end of the session. You will even get to show off those newly acquired skills in a games session at the end! A great experience for you and a friend or loved one this Exmas.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering the water, equipment and the kayak that you are to be manning on this great outdoor activity! Once briefed, you'll be shown how to use the equipment properly and safely get your gear on. You'll then be straight out onto the water to begin learning the basic skills of this rewarding sport. During your time on the water you can expect to learn the safety awareness & procedures, equipment selection process, kayaking techniques, rescue techniques and what to do if you capsize! On top of all of these great new skills you'll have acquired, you even get to play some fun water games to really put to the test and show off those skills!

Restrictions
Min Age - 14yrs Must be accompanied by a participating parent or legal guardian.
Max Weight - 16 stone

All equipment is supplied by the centre.

Duration
The Exmas Kayaking will last for 3 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
Suitable clothing for the time of year should be worn. A complete change of clothes or a wetsuit with appropriate footwear is also needed. The centre will provide you with a kit list once booked.
