Extended Half Day Rally - Prestwold Hall

Rally driving pushes driving qualities and physicalities to the extreme in its difficulty and sense of reward from successfully completing a maneuver or stage. Sliding around corners and using your brakes, oversteer and understeer in completely radical ways has attracted many new lovers of the sport, all in search of the buzz created from such a high adrenalin sport. Driving on different stages including tarmac and loose gravel, you will get to appreciate how differently these powerful machines handle. With your experienced rally instructor at your side giving you tuition and advice, your driving experience will be both eductaional and extremely exciting!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the track and the cars that you are to drive on the Extended Half Day Rally. The driving will begin with a demonstration from your instructor in the Subaru Impreza WRX Sti on the tarmac stage. You will then get to compare this Japanese powerhorse against another, as you begin the driving in the Mitsubishi Evo also on the tarmac stage. You will then begin your driving comparison as you get back into the Subaru Impreza WRX Sti for a session on the tarmac. You will then move onto the loose gravel stage as you get into England’s Ford Focus RS for a session with your instructor at your side. You will then get to drive the Group N Rally car (VW Polo) on the loose gravel stage. This superb day of Rally Driving will come to a halt with an assessment from your instructor and the presentation of your personalised driving certificate.

Restrictions
You must have a full UK or European driving license with no serious offences. You must be able to drive a manual transmission. Drivers shorter than 5'0" or taller than 6'6" and/or weighing more than 17 stone may have difficulty being accommodated.

Duration
The Rally Silver Experience takes place on selected weekdays and Saturdays at Prestwold Hall. Courses start at a selection of times throughout the day and last approximately 3 hours. Spectators welcome. Norfolk has selected days, please call for further information.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome, although there is a strict 'No Pets Allowed' rule. There are some on-site catering facilities.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.

Availability
Available on selected Saturdays and weekdays throughout the year. Norfolk only offers tarmac stage on rally, NOT a gravel stage.
