Driving a Rally Car is one of the most exhilarating motor experiences available and requires a unique set of driving skills, including handbrake turns, power slides and wheel spins just for starters. Behind the wheel of a 4 wheel drive Subaru Impreza, amongst others, you will feel the immense power and acceleration of these finely tuned Japanese machines. You will learn to tame these beasts by mastering how to escape under-steer and utilize over-steer. With a Pro- Rally-Driver instructor next to you, you can head out to the special stage and test your skills under rally conditions, in a time trial competition! Because it challenges on-road driving's principles so well, we highly recommend Rally Driving to all ages and skill levels!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the course and the car you will be driving (centre specific). You will then move out to the practice area where your instructor will teach you how to perform handbrake turns, power slides and pendulum techniques. This combines steering, braking, throttle control and car position. You will then be ready to start your runs through the special stages! Your instructor will be on hand to monitor your progress and fine tune your techniques throughout the day. In Bicester once you have mastered the basics to rally driving your instructor will take each participant on a white knuckle passenger ride! Your experience will draw to a close with a debrief covering each participants progress throughout the day.

Rally Cars in Bristol: BMW 325 (E30), Peugeot 205 GTI or Suzuki Swift GTI and the Subaru Impreza.
Rally Cars in Bicester: Ford Escort RS2000 and Subaru Impreza WRX's.

Restrictions
You must have a full UK / International driving license to participate.

Duration
This is a half day experience and will last for approx 3.5 hours

What to Wear / Equipment
Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for the time of year and soft soled sensible shoes e.g. trainers

Group Size / Spectators
You will be grouped with up to 4 other participants on the day.

Spectators are welcome. At Bicester there is a fee of £10 per person and will be required to sign a declaration of indemnity.
Spectators should wear long sleeved tops, long trousers and trainers you don't mind getting muddy!

Weather
This activity can be affected by extreme weather conditions e.g. high winds. Please check with the center before setting off.
