Half Day Rally Experience

Driving a Rally Car is one of the most exhilarating motor experiences available and requires a unique set of driving skills, including handbrake turns, power slides and wheel spins just for starters. Behind the wheel of a 4 wheel drive Subaru Impreza, amongst others, you will feel the immense power and acceleration of these finely tuned Japanese machines. You will learn to tame these beasts by mastering how to escape under-steer and utilize over-steer. With a Pro- Rally-Driver instructor next to you, you can head out to the special stage and test your skills under rally conditions, in a time trial competition! Because it challenges on-road driving's principles so well, we highly recommend Rally Driving to all ages and skill levels!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with an introduction and safety briefing. You will then sit in the rally car to be driven and given hands on tuition in the basics of rally driving. You will then go to the practice area where the instructor will teach you how to perform handbrake turns, power slides and pendulum techniques, which combines steering, braking, throttle control and car position. Your Instructor will fine tune your technique and coach you to improve your speed and car control. You will then be ready to start your runs through the special stages. The day will finish with a debrief during which your instructor will summarize your progress and give advice on your performance.

Restrictions
You must have a full UK / International driving license to participate.

Duration
This is a half day experience and will last for approx 3.5 hours

What to Wear / Equipment
Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for the time of year and soft soled sensible shoes e.g. trainers

Group Size / Spectators
In Bicester there is a charge for spectators on the day £10.00 per person (includes refreshments).You will be in a group of no more than 4 people on the day. Spectators may be able to experience a High-Speed Rally ride sat in a 300bhp 4 wheel drive Rally car that is currently used in real competition with a pro Rally Driver behind the wheel. This can be booked on the day and is subject to availability.

Weather
This activity can be affected by extreme weather conditions e.g. high winds. Please check with the center before setting off.

Availability
The Rally driving experience is generally run on selected Saturdays from March - November. Group booking can be made all year round if there are sufficient numbers.
