Hang Gliding is the ultimate experience for combining the tranquil nature of soaring silently through the skies with the adrenaline and excitement of being 3,000ft in the air! With a qualified instructor at the controls, you will be free to take in the stunning views of Northamptonshire's countryside on the most eye-openingly magnificent tour of the skies above! If the weather permits and the instructor is keen, you can take the controls yourself and fly the light aircraft at a height reserved usually for birds and aeroplanes!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the Northamptonshire flight centre, your Hang Gliding experience will begin with an introductory brief spanning the aircraft, the grounds and your instructor - covering any safety regulations and protocols before taking to the skies for an unforgettable flight through the skies! Starting with a microlight winch to your preferred flying height, your unforgettable glide will encompass some of the country's finest countryside and visual splendors - giving you a truly unbeatable view from the adrenalising height of 3,000ft! You may even get to take the controls and fly the Hang Glider yourself, depending on the conditions.

Minimum Age: 16 years old

Maximum Weight: 14.5 stone (90kg)

You must give details of any medical condition that may affect your ability. If you are in any doubt, please contact your GP for advice. The hang glider is equipped with its own undercarriage which eliminates the need for running on take off and landing and is therefore suitable for all age groups and people with disabilities.

Duration
Hang Gliding Experiences in Northamptonshire will last for around 1 hour, with closer to half an hour in the skies.

What to Wear / Equipment
It is advised that Hang Gliders wear old clothes that you don't mind getting scuffy and dirty - with sturdy boots that come with ankle support and no hooks. Dress for the weather, with suncream and glasses in the summer, and warm layers in the winter.

All of the relevant safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch your Tandem Hang Gliding Flight in Northamptonshire, and can watch the majority from a designated viewing area.

Tandem Hang Gliding is of course a weather dependent activity. Please call the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.

If the weather is insufficient, your experience will be rescheduled.
