Le Mans Classic Car Experience -

This is a chance to go back to the days of goggles and scarves, as you power up some of the finest and most quint-essential English cars on a superb track day. Here you will be treated to laps in some of the most famous early cars, and some real record breakers. You’ll get to drive timeless classics such as the Aston Martin DB6 Vantage, the Speed Record breaker; the Jaguar E-Type FHC, the Le Mans D-Type Jaguar and the fantastic Austin Healey. Classic cars have a completely different style and aura involved with them, taking you closer to the heart of motor racing from a different perspective than that provided by the on-board computers supplied in today’s supercars.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the track and these magnificent classic cars. Once briefed you’ll be ready to begin the day’s driving, starting with a 3 lap demo in a MKII Jaguar Saloon. Now you’ll be ready to begin the dirving yourself as you start with 3 laps in the Aston Martin DB6 Vantage. After 3 fantastic laps in one of Britain’s finest classic cars, it’s time for 3 more in another of Britain’s all time greats, the record breaking Jaguar E-Type FHC. After 3 laps in the record breaking Jaguar, it’s time for 3 laps in the spectacular Le Mans D-Type Jaguar. This fantastic day of classic car driving will come to a halt with 3 laps in the Austin Healey. To complete the day, you will have a de-brief assessment with your instructor and finish with the presentation of your personalised driving certificate. A quite brilliant day of English classic car driving.

Restrictions
You must have a full UK or European driving license with no serious offences. You must be able to drive a manual transmission. Drivers shorter than 5'0" or taller than 6'6" and/or weighing more than 17 stone may have difficulty being accommodated.

Duration
The Le Mans Classic Car Experience takes place on selected Saturdays at the Mallory Park Racing Circuit. Courses run throughout the day and last approximately 3.5 hours. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome, although there is a strict 'No Pets Allowed' rule. There are some on-site catering facilities.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.
