Wakeboarding has established itself as a leading water sport due to its rewarding nature and extreme fun factor! Developed from a mixture of the most popular sports such as water skiing, snowboarding, and surfing – the challenging sport has become a favourite of many water sport enthusiasts. There are two main ways to get up and riding the water; either on a cable or pulled behind a boat. A cable is mainly used to get you introduced to the sport and to get to grips with different types of techniques. This course gives you a great insight into the sport, ignites the passion to continue and allows you to get really stuck in!

During lesson one you should have learnt some basic maneuvers and should be able to ‘start’ and make the corners to allow you to do lap after lap without falling. Day two (which can be taken the next day or in the following weeks) will help you build up on what you’ve already learnt and progresses you to a Wakeboard. Those with a strong natural ability can be doing their first ollies by the end of Day two.
The final part to your course will include 1 hour of extra practice, on the cable and including all of the kit hire, to get some free-time practicing what you have learnt!
Restrictions
Min Age. 8. Participants must be able to swim 50 metres unaided.
Duration
Please allow 2 hours at the centre for each session of the course.
What to Wear / Equipment
All kit hire is included, please bring a swimming suit and a towel, also feel free to bring your own wetsuit.
Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome.
Weather
The weather does not usually effect wakeboarding but if in doubt please call the centre before setting off.
