Lotus Elise Demo - Castle Combe

Since the Lotus Elise was created in 1994 it has been renowned for re-writing the rule books due to its lightweight cars with unique racing characteristics. The ever popular rear wheel drive Lotus Elise has a hand finished fiberglass body shell atop its aluminum extrusion and bonded frame that provides a rigid platform for the suspension whilst keeping the weight and production cost to a minimum. The lightweight design in relation to the power of the engine allows the Lotus Elise to reach speeds of 130mph and execute 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. Driven by a qualified instructor a formula one style qualifying experience will provide you with a day you will never forget.

Agenda

The course will begin with a safety and technique briefing from a qualified instructor to prepare you for the ride of your life around one of the fastest race tracks in the country. The course will include one warm up lap to get your mouth watering for the fast adrenaline filled lap finishing with a final cool down lap allowing the passenger a formula one style qualifying experience

Duration
Your experience will last 20mins and you will need 1 hour at the centre

What to Wear / Equipment
Helmets are provided at the centre however, feel free to bring your own. It is requested that drivers wear full length clothes that cover the arms and legs as overalls are not provided. Sweatshirts can be purchased in the shop on site.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome and there is a prominent walk around the race track to be enjoyed. Refreshments and food can also be purchased in the Tavern Clubhouse.

Weather
Courses continue to run in the rain however, the centre will contact you if the conditions are unworkable. Your experience will be rearranged for another date if the centre is forced to cancel an agreed date.

Availability
Courses are run from February through to December 30th on selected Fridays & Saturdays. Please confirm with the centre before setting off. Office hours are 9am - 5.00pm, Racing starts at 8.00am - 5:30pm.
