Nissan GTR v Gallardo LP560-4

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 is the king of the supercars and was named the ‘Ultimate Performance Car of The Year 2008’ in CAR magazine's annual test. The Gallardo LP 560-4 beat contenders in its super car group including the Porsche 911 GT2, Aston Martin DBS and Mercedes-Benz CLK. This is the fastest ever Lamborghini and is an absolute pleasure for Ex Element to bring to you. The Italian supercar is not only beautifully easy on the eye, but scarily fast on the track and road. Comparing the Lamborghini against the Nissan GT-R is all about power and control, which the Nissan has in abundance. The Nissan GTR is powered by a 3.8L DOHC V6 engine, including two parallel turbochargers providing forced induction. The fantastically powerful GT-R can reach a top speed of 195 mph and has been tested to achieve 0-60 mph times as low as 3.2 seconds. On standard Japanese market tyres, the GT-R is currently one of the fastest production cars to lap the Nürburgring circuit. The GT-R also finished 8th on Top Gear’s famous track, with a time of 1:19.7 (equal with the Ferrari F430 Scuderia). Several automotive journalists have compared the GT-R to the Bugatti Veyron, due to its raw power and superb handling.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the track, the Lamborghini LP560-4 and the Nissan GT-R. Once briefed, it’s time to buckle up and get ready for 3 demo laps with your instructor in the performance training car. Now you’ll be ready for the drive of your life to begin, starting with 4 laps in the Nissan GTR. Once you have finished the Japanese driving extraordinaire you’ll be ready for 4 laps in Italy’s finest, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. Your day will come to a halt with the presentation of your individual driving certificate. At Prestwold hall you will also have a 2 lap hot hatch ride with your instructor.

Restrictions
You must have a full UK or European driving license with no serious offences. You must be able to drive a manual transmission. Drivers shorter than 5'0" or taller than 6'6" and/or weighing more than 17 stone may have difficulty being accommodated.

Duration
Please allow 2 hours at the venue.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome, although there is a strict 'No Pets Allowed' rule.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.

Availability
Courses start at a range of times on selected Saturdays and weekdays throughout the year. Extra driving laps & passenger rides can be purchased on the day.
