Padi Open Water Course - £349.00

The PADI Open Water Course is THE introduction to the sport for those that are serious about learning to Scuba Dive, PADI is the world's largest and most recognised diver training organisation and with your Open Water Certificate you can hire equipment around the world and dive to a recommended maximum depth of 18 metres without an instructor. Experience Content

The PADI Open Water Course is a structured course that ensures that all people who have passed are both competant and safe divers, you are required to pass a test and demonstrate practical skills in order to qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver. The course includes knowledge development sessions which ensure that you are well grounded in dive theory, pool practice dives where you will learn skills that will prepare you for being an independent diver, finally you will do four open water (ocean or lake) dives with your instructor. All tuition, course material and equipment is included in the course cost. There may be a minimal fee for site entrance fees depending on the centre.

Duration

As a rough guide the total course length is circa 30 hours which is then split up over a number of shorter sessions.

What to Wear / Equipment

All equipment is provided by the centre, you will need to bring along your swim suit and towel.

Group Size / Spectators

There will be a maximum of eight students per instructor.
Spectators are welcome at most centres, please check with the centre before booking.

Weather

The Open Water Dives are weather dependent, the rest of the course is not - your centre will make arrangements for your Open Water dives which are suitable for the weather.

Availability

The PADI Open Water Course is run regularly at all of our centres throughout the year.

Restrictions

Minimum age is 15 years old for the Open Water Course and 10 years old for the Junior Open Water Course.

Anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can start the course. However you must be able to swim 200m and tread water.

You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire upon arrival, if you answer yes to any questions on the Medical form you must see a doctor prior to starting the course.
