Paragliding EPC + CPC Course -
£990.00
- The ultimate course for anyone who is serious about learning to paraglide
- Progress from complete novice to qualified SOLO pilot
- All equipment and exppert tuition included
Paragliding is about as close as you can possibly get to the ultimate dream of free flight! This is a double course for anyone who is really serious about getting into the great sport of paragliding. You will cover both the Elementary Pilot Rating and the Club Pilot rating. The Elementary Pilots Certificate (EPC) is the first qualification recognised by the BHPA and upon successful completion you will be qualified to fly solo under the supervision of an instructor! The course is great fun and you will learn a massive amount about the equipment, safety, weather and most importantly....flying! You will then move on to the The Club Pilots Certificate (CPC) which is the qualification recognised by the BHPA that upon successful completion will allow you to fly without the guidance of an instructor! By the end of this great double course you will have the confidence and skills to soar with the birds!
Experience Content
The EPC normally takes around 4 days - two days on the lower slopes of a hill and two working your way to the top. When you get your EP you will be able to prepare your wing and equipment, do the necessary safety checks, assess site/weather conditions, take off and land by yourself, carry out moderate turns and execute a simple flight plan. The CPC Builds on the skills learned during your EPC course; you will perfect more defined turns and more elaborate flight plans which will enable you to soar for the first time. You will then explore the flying characteristics and stability of your wing more fully. The final part of the course is usually the top landing tasks - yes you will land on top of the hill, no more walking up!
