This is a great oppertunity to test your nerve and experience the thrill of white water rafting in your own private raft which can fit up to 6 people! White water rafting has deservedly earnt itself the a reputation of being one of the most extreme of all extreme sports. Based solely on adrenalin levels this sport is second to none, but it is combination of far more than just the thrill that make it an unmissable experience. In groups the competition to win becomes fierce ensuring you have a ride of a lifetime. On your journey you will be encouraged to work together as a team to bump and glide your way along the rivers natural course, whilst the rapids demonstrate their awesome power.
Experience Content
Your experience starts with a briefing about safety and white water rafting techniques, then it's on with your safety gear and you're off, as your qualified guide takes you and your fellow rafters down a varied white water run in an inflatable six man raft. You may get more than one run dependent on conditions and time. Each boat is guided by an expert instructor.

Duration
You should allow up to 3 hours at the centre for your experience.
What to Wear / Equipment
All specialist equipment such as wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet will be provided by the centre. You should take your swim suit & towel, a spare pair of trainers and warm clothing to change into afterwards.

Group Size / Spectators
Up to six people per raft. Spectators are welcome, they will be able to see the whole session, but please note that viewing areas are not covered.
Weather
Rafting operates in most conditions but may be affected by extreme weather conditions or flooding if the rivers are too swollen. Please check with the centre on the day or the day before your experience.
Availability
Rafting is available all year round. Seven days a week during peak season (June to Sept) and on a supply and demand basis during the other months. The normal rafting season is from March through to October. All the other months are too cold but if groups wish to book and take into account that they are maynot be wearing the appropriate equipment for the weather then we can raft!.
Restrictions
Minimum Age for Rafting is 14 ( Under 18's require parental consent )
Maximum Weight is 18 Stone
You must be able to swim 50m be confident in the water and fit enough to climb back in the raft if you fall out.
You cannot Participate if:
You are Pregenant, have disproportionately large body areas and cannot fit into equipment, are not deemed physically fit / capable to participate.
or if you are under influence of drugs or alcohol.
