 The RYA Level 2 Powerboat Course is essentially your driving license for the water! A fantastic course that will give you a really solid grounding in all aspects of Powerboat 'driving'. The course is great fun and you will definitely have a smile on your face whilst practicing high speed maneuvers and the man over board recovery. The completion of this course will enable you to hire powerboats and is an essential qualification if you are looking for any sort of career in watersports instruction.

Experience Content

Run over two days this course offers a huge range of skills necessary for owning or hiring a powerboat; From the excitement of high speed handling to the satisfaction of completing a maneuver well, whether it is coming alongside or a practice man over board recovery. The course also covers lots of information regarding boat safety including equipment to carry and collision rules. You can also use your level 2 qualification to gain the ICC certificate (approx cost £27 including 1 year subscription to the RYA) for vessels up to 10m.

Availability

The course is available all year round.

Restrictions

Minimum age is 12. Please inform the centre if you can not swim or if you have any medical conditions that you think they should be aware of.
