Shark Diving! - £170.00

 This is something I bet you thought you couldn't do in the UK! This is your chance to do a very special Discover Scuba experience with a twist...you'll be diving with Sharks! During this amazing experience you will be in the water and up close and personal with beautiful Sand Tiger Sharks (10 feet+), Angel Sharks and Tope Sharks in an amazing 4.5 million litre underwater safari which is home to one of Europe’s largest collections of sharks as well as 2000 other fish including rays and crabs. No previous scuba diving experience is necessary as training is provided and you will be fully supervised by qualified PADI instructors at all times. Highly recommended.

Experience Content

You will arrive at the centre where you will meet your instructor and receive a safety briefing, you will then be fitted with the scuba equipment and dry suit before heading to the training pool. You will receive in water instruction from your PADI instructor to ensure that you are comfortable breathing underwater before heading to the main aquarium. Your dive with the sharks will last around 30 minutes and you will be amazed at the grace of the sharks as they swim serenely past you, in addition to the sharks there will be plenty of other interesting and beautiful fish and sea life to look at. Your experience will finish with a shower and getting changed back into your clothes before collecting a certificate to remember your day with.

What you Need to Know

Duration

Your training will take between one & two hours and the dive in the main aquarium will last for circa 30 minutes.

What to Wear / Equipment

All equipment is provided by the centre. You will be wearing a drysuit and it is recommended that you take warm clothes such as track suit bottoms, a long sleeve t-shirt  and warm pair of socks to wear underneath the drysuit.

Group Size / Spectators

There will be a maximum of two other divers sharing your experience with you. You may take two spectators with you at no extra cost. They will watch your shark dive from under the tank in the viewing tunnel! It is possible to bring more spectators but you will need to pay extra.

Restrictions

Minimum age is 16. You must be comfortable in the water and in reasonable fitness.
All participants will need to fill in a PADI Medical questionnaire in advance of the dive or training taking place. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of the questions you will need to get the form signed off by your GP to enable you to get authorisation to dive.
Glasses can not be worn during the dive – contact lenses are fine. Min height 5ft, max height 6ft4, max chest size 48 inches, max weight 18 stones. Any diver under the age of 18 must be accompanied by parent/guardian. We recommend you do not fly within 8 hours of your dive.
