On a purpose-built skid you'll master driving techniques to control your vehicle in the event of a skid. Whether you're driving for business or pleasure, Britain's inclement weather means you can never be sure what hazardous conditions are just around the corner. This uniquely enjoyable experience teaches you valuable driving skills in a risk-free environment and gives you confidence that you will leave the track a better, safer, road user. It is ideal for all those adrenalin junkies who like to deal with hazards in their driving and tone their skills on a purpose built skid pan area. Key skills will be gained from a qualified instructor about coping with dangerous conditions such as black ice as well as dealing with an aquaplaning car. This experience will help the driver deal with the pressures of unseen circumstances and boost their confidence in unsafe conditions. Let it prepare you for the worst...while having the time of your life!
Experience Content
The day will begin with a full safety briefing about the risks of the car in the conditions you are about to undertake. You will then get behind the wheel for 2 hrs skid car session including In-car demonstration to test your abilities around a purpose built skid pan area and breaking lane. There will be a qualified instructor in the car enabling you to receive first class tuition in oversteer, understeer, ABS and avoidance of particular incidents. To finish the session you will head back to the centre and receive a personalised certificate of completion and 15 minutes debrief showing you have mastered these tricky surfaces.

Duration
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your experience and allow approximately 2 hours for your Skid Control Course
The experience in Dunfirmline will give the driver the opportunity to get behind the wheel of both front and rear wheel drive cars.
The Experience in Silverstone will allow the driver to experience the Audi A4 Skid Control Car complete with cradle.
What to Wear / Equipment
You must wear long sleeved tops and trousers with soft soled shoes or trainers

Availability
This experience is available on Weekends all year round.
In Northamptonshire you will drive a Ford Focus.
In Dunfirmline you will drive the Seat Leon or Ford Fiesta.
Restrictions
Participants must be 17 yrs .Driver must hold a full Manual License – International licences which have been held for the correct amount of years and that are presented on the day will be accepted.
Maximum Height 6ft 7in and under 70yrs old.
Maximum Weight 18st at both locations.
