Professional Instruction from Racing Drivers

This is the experience for anyone who fancies themselves as a bit of a Fernando Alonso; your chance to master a single-seater racing car on a real race track! Setting fast lap times in a single-seater demands a smooth, effortless driving style which is something you will learn from your experienced Association of Racing Driving Schools (ARDS) instructor. You will start off learning the circuit in a 'hot hatch' before stepping up to the single-seater; the iconic Vauxhall Lotus 2 litre. As if that wasn't enough then you will now step into the Caterham Super 7 and get a chance to put it through its paces. This is a fantastic day during which you will learn what its like to be racing driver!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the circuit, hot hatch and the single seater that you are to drive on this once in a lifetime opportunity. Once briefed you'll be ready to begin the day's driving with a 3 lap demo with the instructor driving in the performance training car. Once the theory has been learnt, your day's driving will begin as you take the wheel of the hot hatch for 4 driving laps with your instructor beside you. It will then be time for 6 laps in the Vauxhall Lotus 2 litre single-seater, finishing off with 4 laps driving the Caterham Super 7.This great track day will slow to a halt with the presentation of your personalised driving certificate.

Restrictions
You must have a full UK or European driving license with no serious offences. You must be able to drive a manual transmission.
Drivers shorter than 5'0" or taller than 6'3" and/or weighing more than 17 stone may have difficulty being accommodated.

Duration
This experience lasts for 4 - 5 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome, although there is a strict 'No Pets Allowed' rule. There are some on-site catering facilities.

This experience may be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.

Availability
Available on Saturdays only in Mallory Park and on Weekdays only in Prestwold Hall. Courses run from March to September.
