Ultimate Powerboat Day - £209.00

  • Exeprience the power of both the Honda Formula 4-Stroke Powerboat and the Suzuki Hyper Cat Powerboat
 This is a chance to drive two of the fastest most exciting powerboats in the UK.  You will start off learning to drive a Honda Race Boat.  The Honda Formula 4-Stroke championship (HF4S) is the largest, most exciting offshore powerboat series in the world. Feel the speed and grace of this highly responsive racing machine. During this experience the Driver (usually a current or past racer) will head into the Solent to show what the boat can do. Your one and a half hours on board includes approximately 10-15 minutes of hands-on driving and tuition. The boat operates within Southampton Water and extends into the Solent so bring a disposable camera. The boat is soft riding and the seating comfortable. Be prepared for the ride of your life!  Secondly you will get a chance to drive the Suzuki Hyper Cat.  The Suzuki Hyper Cat is one of the fastest production powerboats in the world. She can power through almost any water at high speed sending the boat flying high above the surface. This High performance Hyper Cat demands respect.  You will learn to control the power of this awesome machine. With over twice the power of the Honda Powerboats and an ‘air entrapment hull’ you will soon be flying into the Solent!

Experience Content

Your experience begins with a safety briefing and an introduction to the boats. You then get changed into official racing team kit and safety gear. Then it’s onto the water. The boats have comfortable secure seating and the experience is suitable for all adventure seekers  You will spend approx 2 Hours in the Honda Race Boat.  You will then return to the base for lunch and to mentally prepare yourself for round 2 hours in the awesome Suzuki Hyper Cat.

Duration

Please allow a full day for your experience (approx 10 am - 4 pm).

What to Wear / Equipment

Please wear jeans or shorts and training or boat shoes. Please also bring a change of clothes- just in case. The centre will provide all other necessary equipment e.g Waterproof jacket, life jacket etc.

Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the shore.

Weather

This experience can be affected by extreme weather, please check with the centre before setting off.

April - October on selected weekdays and weekends.  (10am-4pm)

Age restrictions: Min Age is 16 years
Height restrictions: Min height is 5' tall
Weight Restrictions: Max Weight is 17 stone.
