Rally driving is one of the most exciting sports in the world and Extreme Element are delighted to give you a chance to have a go. Usually reserved for those with a large bank balancing rally driving is one of the ultimate high adrenalin activities. During the morning of this full day experience you will get to drive the awesome Ford Escort RS2000 which dominated the world of competitive rallying in the late 70's and early 80's and is considered one of the great cars in the sports history. In the afternoon you will be behind the wheel of either a Mitsubishi Evo 7 or Subaru Impreza Turbo STI - both are turbo charged monsters that will really get the pulse racing! This is an awesome day during you which you will tackle both a gravel 'stage' and a tarmac circuit. The ultimate rally driving experience!
Experience Content
You will arrive at the centre where you will meet your instructor, sign and have a tea or coffee. The morning is reserved for the Escort RS2000 and gravel stage. There will then be a safety briefing which will also cover the basic principals and techniques of loose surface rally driving. You will then go to the practice area where the instructor will teach you how to perform handbrake turns, power slides and pendulum techniques. This combines steering, braking, throttle control and car position. You will then be ready to start your runs through the special stages. You will then have lunch at the local pub (included in the price but no alcohol!) before starting the afternoon session. The afternoon is spent driving Mitsubishi Evo 7’s or STI Subaru Impreza’s on a challenging tarmac circuit. The power, grip and handling of these cars is amazing. Your confidence, skill and speed will increase until you are driving like a pro. Your driving is being assessed all day; a final debrief will conclude your day.

This is a full day which you should allow 7.5 hours for.
What to Wear / Equipment
You should dress for the weather and wear trainers. Helmet and all specialist equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
There will be a maximum of 5 pupils per car allowing individual tuition and plenty of 'hands on driving time'. Spectators are welcome, however no children under 16 years old. There is a small charge for spectators on the day. Full day spectator - £15.00 per person (includes lunch & refreshments).
Weather
This experience will only be affected by very extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.
Availability
This experience is available year round.
Restrictions
All participants must have a Full UK Driving License. If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please call us before you purchase this experience.
