World War II Military Vehicle Driving - Leicester

Ever wanted to drive World War 2 military vehicles? Come and drive the 1944 American M16 White Halftrack. Halftracks were used as armoured personnel carriers extensively by the allied forces during the Second World War. A number were also fitted with the Browning .50cal Heavy machine guns. What about trying the 1941 GMC 353 Widely used as a troop and a munitions carrier during WW2. The GMC was used in all campaigns across Europe and the Pacific. And lastly the Willys MB Jeep. The iconic lightweight Jeep, manufactured between 1941-1945 was made even more famous by recent films such as “Saving Private Ryan”,” Memphis Belle” and “Band Of Brothers.”

Agenda

You will receive the history of the vehicles & full instruction and safety brief before taking to the track in the 3 different vehicles,Tea and coffee is provided for all participants along with full Camoflage Jacket and Trousers.

Restrictions
Driving License required, Max weight: 18 stone / 114kg, Max height: 6ft 2' / 189cm.

Duration
The total drive time is approximately 1 hr (20 mins in each vehicle) You should allow 1.5 – 2 hrs on site.

What to Wear / Equipment
Please wear warm clothing and trainers for driving in.Full Camoflage Jacket and Trousers are provided.

Spectators are welcome, please bring a camera
