ZapCat - Have A Go Experience

Do you fancy taking the reins of the fantastically powerful ZapCat and reaching speeds of 50mph in just three seconds? This is your chance to control the boat through 3G force turns over and through monstrous waves. The lightweight powerboat was originally designed as a surf rescue boat and due to its speed and agility it rapidly created the worlds most popular one design powerboat race. These tremendously powerful boats are most commonly seen at the Bournemouth Grand Prix and the National ZapCat Championships where the top pilots compete against each other for the prestigious Grand Prix Trophy.
Experience Content
Upon arrival you will take part in a 30 minute safety briefing before entering the water in the powerful ZapCat race boat. You will then move onto your one on one session with one of the UK's top inflatable power boat pilots. You will experience a race and driving session which will last up to two hours allowing you to get to grips with the sheer power of the ZapCat itself, whilst reaching the thrilling and outrageous heights of 6ft created from the waves. A Safety boat is present so when you are not controlling the boat you can still be included in the chase around the water.

Your experience will last anything up to three hours, depending on the weather and number of other people doing the experience on your day
What to Wear / Equipment
The centre will provide the necessary clothing such as: drysuits, buoyancy aids and helmets. Be sure to bring a swim suit & towel and sun block if it's hot and warm clothes to change into if it's not.

Group Size / Spectators
1 pupil per boat, 3 pupils per session. Spectators are welcome, as there are facilities close to the centres such as waterfront bars, cafes, restaurants etc. Guests should take a pair of binoculars if they want to follow the action.
Weather
Extreme weather conditions may cause the experience to be canceled or 'toned down' - please call the centre if in doubt.

Available at the Weekends in February through to Nov. Weekdays are available on request. Check with the centre
Restrictions
Age Restrictions: Min age is 16. (Under 18's require parental consent ).You will not be able to take part if you have back or neck problems, are pregnant or have heart complaints. Non swimmers are accepted but you must inform the centre at the safety briefing. Weight Restrictions: Max weight 21 Stone, Height Restrictions: Min height 4'10, Max height 6'6"
