Extended Gliding Lesson

The Extended Gliding Experience is the perfect introduction to flying for a great range of flying abilities, from the first time taster sessions to those with more in-depth requirements. With expert tuition throughout the entire experience, you will be taking the controls and flying the aircraft yourself for around 20-25 minutes, at a height of around 3000ft. The views of the picturesque countryside below are truly amazing, and when coupled with the excitement of the Gliding Experience - is truly breathtaking.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre you will begin the Extended Gliding Lesson with a safety brief and an introduction to the Glider / instructor. Then, once briefed and prepped you will be ready for the main flight, starting by meeting the instructor who will be responsible for ensuring you get airborne. Once you've made it into the air, you are free to enjoy the spectacular views of the ground below and the miles ahead of you! The instructor will encourage you to take the controls yourself, but only if you feel comfortable.

Restrictions
Minimum Height: 6ft 3in
Minimum Weight: 16 stone
If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

Duration
This experience lasts approximately 2 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear casual and comfortable clothes with soft soled shoes such as trainers, no high heels. All safety equipment will be provided on the day.

Group Size / Spectators
This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike. There is no extra charge for spectators to attend on the day.

Weather
This is a weather dependent activity. Extreme weather conditions may cause the experience to be re-arranged, please call the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.
