The fantastic sport of Rally Driving never gets old, as the thrilling nature of sliding a powerful and agile car around corners and across a range of terrains is a brilliant adrenaline pumper. Sat behind the wheel and with a balaclava underneath your helmet, you'll be experiencing the fastest and most enjoyable form of motor racing - actually inside a forest! With expert tuition provided by the professional instructors, you can't help but improve your driving ability and have a simply magnificent driving day off road. You'll be driving through a 900 acre forest and without the instructor using dual controls! Serious stuff!

Choose from Escort RS2000 or the Mitsubishi Lancer.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Forest Rally Half Day Experience will begin when you meet at Cambrian House for registration before moving on into the forest.
08.45 / 12.45 - Registration & Transfer.
09.15 / 13.15 - Short Theory & Safety briefing, before driving the 2 mile Forest Stage with instructor's guidance and expertise, advising of techniques and skills.
10.30 / 15.00 - Each participant attempts specific tasks, inc: Handbrake Turns and more. Then, back to the Forest Stage for a further run.
11.30 / 16.00 - Timed run will commence. Trophy for winner & certificates presented to all drivers.
12.30 / 17.00 - Rally Speed Passenger Ride with instructor driving, before finishing the experience.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 17
Minimum Height: 5'0"
Maximum Height: 6'6"
Maximum Weight: 18 stone

Please ensure that you are not intoxicated or hungover. The instructors will refuse your participation if they feel that safety is in danger due to such substances.

Duration
Please allow 3-4 hours at the centre. The Forest Rally Half Day starts at either 08.45 or 12.45, and finishes at 12.30 or 17.00.

What to Wear / Equipment
Helmets and Balaclavas supplied by the centre.

The shoes that you wear are the most essential item. Many styles of trainers are not suitable, with soles that are too thick or too wide. Squash shoes are good as they are thin & narrow soled. You should wear warm outdoor clothing as the forest gets quite cold, especially in the winter as the forest is 1500ft above sea level and is exposed.

Group Size / Spectators
First non-participant FREE, thereafter £5 per person to include Light refreshments. There are no additional options for spectators other than watching the participant. Numbers are limited and due to safety, no dogs allowed and it is not advised to bring babies and small children.

Weather
Only the most extreme of weather conditions will restrict the experience. Please call the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.

Availability
The Forest Rally Experience takes place on selected weekdays and weekends throughout the year.
