Rally driving requires a unique set of driving skills. Not only are there different surfaces to master - tarmac and gravel, but also different styles of power delivery - rear wheel drive, front wheel drive and the ultimate in grip - four wheel drive. Under the guidance of an experienced rally instructor, drivers learn skid control, brake and gear control plus under and oversteer techniques, on both a high-speed, high-grip tarmac circuit and a purpose-built rally gravel stage. On the Full Day Rally Experience you will get the chance to compare and contrast some of Rally Driving's finest and most successful cars, including a Subaru WRX STi, Mitsubishi Evo, Ford Focus RS and the VW Polo. Choose for yourself which is the best of the best, on a range of different surfaces.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the track and the powerful rally cars you are to drive on the Full Day Rally Experience. Your day's driving will begin with a demo from your instructor in Japan's powerhorse, the Subaru WRX STi on the tarmac stage. You will then begin the driving in the Mitsubishi Evo, yourself driving on the tarmac stage also. Next up, on the same tarmac stage you will have the chance to compare the Evo against the Subaru as you continue the hard surface lesson. You will then mix it up with a session on the loose gravel in the Ford Focus RS with your instructor at your side. You will then stop for a spot of lunch before repeating the whole morning's activities all over again! Brilliant! You will then be treated to a rally passenger ride with an experienced Rally instructor before the day is complete with the presentation of your personalised driving certificate.

Maximum Weight: 20 stone
You must have a full UK or European driving license with no serious offences. You must be able to drive a manual transmission.

Duration
The Full Day Rally Experience takes place on selected weekdays and Saturdays at Prestwold Hall. Courses start at 9.00 am and last 6 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome, although there is a strict 'No Pets Allowed' rule. There are some on-site catering facilities.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.
