This fantastic Gliding experience lofts you up with the birds before floating back down in the most picturesque, tranquil beauty! Appreciate a relaxing experience surrounded by stunning views of the countryside, in a calm and relaxing flight. Once you've been towed to 2000 feet you will be free to take in all of the views and even take the controls yourself if you feel fit. A truly excellent flying experience that offers you incomparable views of the country.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your gliding experience will begin with the necessary paperwork, covering the declaration of flight. Then, once the paperwork is complete you will meet the instructor and have a short safety briefing before getting ready for the main event! Once at the launch point you'll meet the launch marshall who is responsible for ensuring you get airborne. Once aloft, you can expect to glide from 2000 feet, which will take around 30 mins. You will be encouraged to take the controls yourself by the instructor if you feel comfortable, but it is of course entirely up to you.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 14 Years Old
Maximum Weight: 104kg, (230lbs, 16.3 stone)
Maximum Height: 190cm (6'3") - Any height above this is difficult, please enquire if you are unsure.
You will need to seek medical advice if you suffer from any conditions such as epilepsy.
If you satisfy the requirements for a driving license then you are generally OK to glide.

Duration
Expect to be at the centre for around 1.5 hours, with around 30mins of gliding time once in the air.

What to Wear / Equipment
Comfortable casual clothes are fine. All equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch you depart on your flight.

Weather
Rain, high winds or poor visibility restricts gliding. You should call the centre on the day before setting off.

Availability
Gliding is available at weekends and on some weekdays from April to September.
