Take to the skies for an unforgettable flying experience, piloting a 1943 G-APFU Tiger Moth most commonly used for pilot training. The stunning plane makes for a truly great flying experience as you tour the grounds of the picturesque setting, with a qualified pilot in the air providing constant advice / tuition & knowledge of the plane and surroundings. This 'hands-on' trial lesson is about much more than just a pleasure flight, as you'll really get your hands on the controls and pilot the vintage plane for yourself.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Goodwood Tiger Moth Experience will begin with a safety brief and introduction to your pilot instructor and the Tiger Moth to be flown on this momentous flying experience! Once briefed, it's time to don the safety gear - including jacket, helmet and headset - and then you'll be ready to take to the skies for an unforgettable 15minute flight, where you can actually take the controls and fly the vintage Tiger Moth. The actual experience will last for around 30minutes, and upon completion you will receive a certificate signed by your instructor.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 18
Please contact if you are above 6'5" or weigh more than 18 stone.

Duration
Please allow half a day at the centre.

The experience will last for around half an hour, and the actual flight time will be around 15minutes.

What to Wear / Equipment
Please dress in warm casual comfortable clothes, and wear soft flat-soled shoes. It will be chilly up there so layers are advised, and sunglasses to protect from the glare and take in all of the sights!

All safety equipment is provided by the centre, including flight jacket, helmet & headset.

Group Size / Spectators
There isn’t a limit on spectators and they are more than welcome and can help themselves to tea and coffee with the drivers. There is viewing on top of the pits area and in the areas designated and explained by the staff managing the activity.

Weather
The Goodwood Tiger Moth Experience is affected by poor weather conditions. The centre will call you on the day if it needs to be rearranged.

Availability
The Goodwood Tiger Moth Experience is available on weekdays from April - October.
