With this fantastic hire experience you can escape for 2 nights in a classic 70’s bay-window 2 or 4 berth campervan, kitted out with everything you could possibly need for this nostalgic break in one of the most picturesque areas of the country. On your journey you can see the best that Devon and Cornwall have to offer, at a pace that suits you. When you see somewhere that takes your fancy, pull up and enjoy great locations like secluded beaches or deserted headlands. You can indulge in many of the local thriving sports activities, like surfing experiences, mountain biking, kite surfing, paragliding or canoeing. The rest is really up to you.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the picturesque area of Okehampton, you can collect your 2 or 4 berth campervan from the workshop in Devon from 14.30 on either a Monday or Wednesday. It will be fully equipped with all that you could possibly need for a fantastic break, including everything from the corkscrew to the kitchen sink. (Awning, cooker, fridge, camping gas, cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment, cycle rack, extra outdoor table and chairs).

You will be presented with a list of campsites created by friends and locals and even some suggested adventures: perhaps you fancy a cycling weekend, surfing, horse riding, walking, fishing or visiting those hidden pubs. Once you have been shown how to use the facilities in your campervan and had your lesson in how to drive 'him' or 'her', you can set off on your very own vintage vacation and create fantastic memories of a wonderful holiday exploring the South West.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 25 years old (at the start of the hire)

Must have a Full Driving Licence.

(Drivers can be between 21 and 25, but need to be employed and have held a full 'clean' driving licence for 2 years.)
The centre asks that you drive the vans within the Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset.

A fully refundable deposit of £750 is required to be paid at the centre as security.

Duration
The experience is for 2 nights:
Collect 14.30 on a Monday to 10.00 am on Wednesday, or collect 14.30 on a Wednesday, return at 10.00 am on Friday.

What to Wear / Equipment
You will need to bring clothing, bedding (can supply sleeping bags at extra cost) and any toys you’ll need such a bikes or surfboards.

Group Size / Spectators
The vans can hold a few people, so get your friends together and enjoy an unforgettable trip in the iconic holiday camper! The vans are either 2 or 4 berth and have up to 4 seat belts.

Weather
The weather won't restrict the availability of this experience, but we suggest that you remember to check the forecast and pack accordingly.

Availability
You can pick up your van at either 14.30 on a Monday until 10.00 am on the Wednesday, or 14.30 on a Wednesday to 10.00 am on a Friday.

This experience is available during March, April, from mid-September, and throughout October.
