Intensive Gliding Lesson

Gliders were first developed in the 1920's for recreational purposes and at that time some gliders had engines for extending their flights and some had engines powerful enough to launch. With this Intensive Gliding Lesson you can experience the thrill of flying one of these fantastic aircraft’s. With your professional instructor you will have the option of 3 different flights which will equal to around 40 minutes in the air.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre you will be briefed for your extended gliding lesson. Once the safety breifing has finished you will start to get ready for the main flight! You will meet your instructor who will be responsible for ensuring you get airborne. Once you've made it into the air you are free to enjoy the spectacular views. Your experience will consist of 3 tows to 2000ft with 15-20 minutes per flight or 2 tows to 3000ft with 20-25 minutes per flight. You should allow 3 hours at the centre.

Restrictions
Minimum Height: 6ft 3in
Minimum Weight: 16 stone
If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

Duration
This experience lasts approximately 3 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should wear casual and comfortable clothes with soft soled shoes such as trainers, no high heels. All safety equipment will be provided on the day.

Group Size / Spectators
This experience is great for individuals. There is no extra charge for spectators to attend on the day.

Weather
This is a weather dependent activity. Extreme weather conditions may cause the experience to be re-arranged, please call the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.
