Discover the thrill of white water rafting. Being one of the most extreme sports since its break-through in the 70's, this is a definite must-do experience! Your fellow rafters must work together as you guide yourselves down the raging rapids of this fantastic purpose-built course! Follow the instructions of your qualified tutor, paddle hard as you launch the raft over the swells and hold on tight as you push through the immense waves! The 700meter, International Grade 3, downhill course is perfect for practising the basic principles of white water rafting!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your experience will begin with a full safety briefing whilst you collect your safety equipment. Your qualified instructor will run through the basics to white water rafting before guiding you down to the rapids! Now to begin rafting! Climb aboard the 6-8 man raft and work together, with the rest of your group to guide yourselves down the raging course. You will participate in approximately 3-4 runs down the 700meter course! Your experience will draw to a close with a de-brief back at the centre, where you will have a chance to change into dry, clean clothes.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 14
Maximum Weight: 18 Stone (Chest Size 48")
Under 18's require parental consent.
All participants must be confident swimmers!
If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

Duration
This experience lasts approximately 2 hours.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your activity time to collect safety equipment.

What to Wear / Equipment
All safety equipment such as helmets, wetsuits and buoyancy aids will be provided by the centre.

Please wear a swimsuit and trainers you don't mind getting wet and bring a towel and spare change of clothes for after your experience.

Group Size / Spectators
This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike.
Participants Per Raft: 8

Spectators are welcome to watch.

Weather
This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please contact the centre on the day to make sure it is going ahead.

Availability
This experience is available on selected dates throughout March- November only on Saturdays.
