Kayaking Lessons are a fantastic way to hit the water, as the rewarding sport also provides a decent amount of exercise and adrenaline! With just a paddle in your hands and a layer of plastic between you and the water, you can really get to grips with a hands on natural experience that can be as strenuous as you make it. Whether you wish to meander gently along the waters or power through the onrushing white waters; the fundamentals remain the same and must be learned somewhere... and this is the ideal place to start, in calm waters and with expert instruction.

Agenda

Once you have arrived at the Worcestershire based Kayaking centre, the lesson will begin with a safety brief and introduction to the equipment - covering the manoeuvres, waters and the fundamental Kayaking skills. Then, once briefed and buoyed full of the theory - you and your instructor will hit the water for a session teaching you the basics, from paddle direction to safety rolls and other manoeuvring techniques. After a good session of skill learning, you'll put your new found abilities to the test by taking part in some on-water games!

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 14 

(Under 18's must be accompanied by a PARTICIPATING parent / guardian.)

All Participants must be confident in the water.

Duration
Kayaking Lesson Worcestershire will last for around 3 hours, but expect to be at the centre for around 4 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
The Worcestershire centre will provide you with the kayak and equipment - but not a wetsuit, so be sure to bring your own or alternative swimwear.

• Swimming Costume
• Towel
• Sun Block (Summer)
• Warm Clothes (to change into afterwards)

Group Size / Spectators
Kayaking Lessons in Worcestershire will be run with a maximum ratio of 8 people to 1 instructor.

Spectators are welcome to watch from the side.

For groups of 4 or more, exclusive sessions can be run on demand.

Weather
Kayaking Lessons can be affected by weather conditions. Please contact the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.

Availability
Kayaking Lesson Worcestershire is available on weekends and a very selected few weekdays from March to October.
