Kitesurfing has rapidly developed into the fastest growing and most desirable water sport to take up, bringing together a range of principles from different board and kite sports to make the coolest and most rewarding sport of the lot! Once you've mastered the art of harnessing the wind's power and the board techniques; its down to just you, the waves and the wind! With this great intro course you can learn the basics before taking it on for further tuition, equipping you with the skills to get heavily involved in the amazing sport of Kitesurfing.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Kitesurfing 1 Day Course will begin with an introduction to the instructor and equipment before getting in the classroom for a theory session. This will introduce participants to the wind and help to understand getting power into the kite! Also covered in the theory session is the Equipment set up, site assessment, sea and weather conditions.

Then, equipped with the theory just learnt in the classroom; you will begin an Introduction to Kite Flying using foil trainer kites. This includes kite set up, safe launching & landing and flying techniques. You will also cover the Kite set up and pre flight checks, the Launch/Land & Flying and Re-launch techniques before learning about Body-Dragging - Using the kite to drag you through the water! A great intro to one of the fastest growing water sports in the country.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 16

Courses available for 10 year olds, please enquire for more info.

Please contact us if you feel that your height or weight may restrict your participation in Kitesurfing.

Duration
The Kitesurfing 1 Day Course will last for 5 hours, with an additional 1 hour lunch break. Expect to be at the centre for around 7 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
All equipment is provided by the centre.

We recommend that you wrap up warm if it is cold, wear sturdy shoes or trainers and bring sunglasses!

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring cameras!

Weather
Kitesurfing needs the wind... but as Camber has the most consistent and cleanest wind along the whole of the south coast, and some of the best in the country; lessons are rarely postponed.

Availability
The Kitesurfing 1 Day Lesson is available 7 days per week, dependent on the wind & tide.
