Take your Kitesurfing skills from zero to hero with this fantastic 5 day course. Introducing you to the sport from theory to launch to actually riding on the waves and performing skills, with honed technique practice! The sport of Kitesurfing has rapidly developed into the fastest growing and most desirable water sport to take up, bringing together a range of principles from different board and kite sports to make the coolest and most rewarding sport of the lot! Once you've mastered the art of harnessing the wind's power and the board techniques; its down to just you, the waves and the wind!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your 5 Day Kitesurfing Course will begin with an introduction to the instructor and equipment before getting in the classroom for a theory session. This will introduce participants to the wind and help to understand getting power into the kite! Also covered in the theory session is the Equipment set up, site assessment, sea and weather conditions.

This intensive 5 day course takes you from a complete novice to a confident, skilled and totally independent kitesurfer, covering all aspects of the sport.

Initially run along similar lines as a three day course we will go on to cover:

- In depth advanced theory of wind, weather, sea state, beach safety and equipment
- Advanced equipment set up and tuning for any condition plus equipment care and repair
- Advanced board skills including controlled edging and weight distribution for upwind riding and stopping
- Riding in both directions with turns
- Pop and jumping theory
- Introduction to jumping

By the end of this course you will have all the information and skills to go out and continue the sport with the safe knowledge that you can choose the correct equipment, read the weather and select the correct beach to use and have fun safely anywhere in the world.

On completion of this course you will receive a BKSA level 1 or 2 certificate recognised worldwide

Also included in the 5 days, during lunch breaks or whilst waiting for the wind to kick in, you have the opportunity to use our surf kayaks, stand up paddle boards, kite land boards and power boating (at extra cost)

Minimum Age: 16

Please contact us if you feel that your height or weight may restrict your participation in Land Boarding.

Duration
The Kitesurfing 5 Day Course will last for around 5 hours on each day, with an additional 1 hour lunch break. Expect to be at the centre for around 7 hours per day.

What to Wear / Equipment
If it is heavily raining then it makes it difficult to go ahead. Camber is one of the driest places in the UK and the centre has a huge range of kites - so lessons are very rarely postponed.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring cameras!

Weather
Kitesurfing needs the wind... but as Camber has the most consistent and cleanest wind along the whole of the south coast, and some of the best in the country; lessons are rarely postponed.

Availability
The Kitesurfing 5 Day Lesson is available 7 days per week, dependent on the wind & tide.
