Extreme Sports in the North East

With a fantastic coastline including the soaring Boulby Cliffs in Tees Valley; the rolling Cheviot Hills, soft Durham Dales and dramatic Pennine moorland, the North West is one of England’s best kept secret adventure destinations. From skydiving to white-water rafting, downhill mountain biking to kayaking, there are loads of extreme sports available here. The North West is also home to two of Britain’s finest surfing beaches, including Tynemouth, home of the O’Neill British Surfing Championships. North East England is a formidable place. Home to rugged sandy beaches, Wild, deserted moors and its proximity to large buzzing, urban areas.
