Night Rally Driving Experience

Have you ever wanting to experience the full rally driving experience, driving at night on a full specialist rally stage. You will be driving on a specially adapted rally stage, driving a modified Ford Escort Mark 2 rally car. These cars will be transformed into coping with night rally driving conditions with auxiliary lighting being bolted on illuminating the rally stage. You will be in safe hands through out your experience with highly qualified instructors and rally professionals.

Agenda

Your experience will start with a safety briefing, followed by a informal lecture in the classroom on the basic principles of rally driving techniques and car control by your instructor. You will then be taken out onto the track to perform a number of different rally techniques, from power sliding after a short demonstration from your instructor, then its your chance to get behind the wheel and practice basic "sideways" control using maneuvers that co-ordinate power and steering balance. Then it's your chance to practice handbrake turns, again following a short demonstration, where again you will practice handbrake turns, hard cornering, braking and car positioning techniques through out a sequence of tight corners on the rally stage. Then its your chance to combine your newly learnt techniques powering your way around the rally stage in day light. Then its time for a brief pit stop - either taking dinner at the rally school or at the local pub whilst your rally car is equipped with auxiliary lighting, waiting for the darkness. After refueling you will drive the full special stage instructor monitoring the techniques practiced earlier in the daylight, encouraging your confidence and build up your speed. The authentic "arrowed" route features fast and slow bends, straights and different surfaces testing your new skills and ability to the max - all this in the dark with only the rally cars auxiliary lighting illuminating the rally stage. To complete your experience you will be taken on a high speed passenger ride at authentic rally speed around the full stage in the dark. To conclude this adrenaline fueled experience you will be given a de-briefing from your instructor, followed by a summary of the evening's events giving advice, and will be presented with a night rally drive certificate.

You must hold a full driving licence.

Duration
Please allow 7 hours at the venue to complete your experience. You will also need to arrive 15 minutes before hand to complete documentation.

What to Wear / Equipment
Please where comfortable outdoor clothing with thinly soled shoes, such as trainers. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are very welcome and there is a dedicated outside viewing gallery with panoramic views of the rally stage.

Weather
This experience will operate in most conditions, but the most extreme of weather circumstances may cause the experience to be rescheduled. Please check with the centre before setting off.

Availability
This experience is only available from October to the end of March, starting at 1.00pm and finishing around 8.00pm with limited spaces.
