Parkour Taster

Learn the art of Parkour with this fantastic beginners workshop! Originating from the French slang 'tracer' (to move quickly), and featured in many famous Hollywood blockbusters including Casino Royal and Pirates of the Caribbean, parkour is an exciting new addition to the extreme sports family. Your experienced instructor will teach you how to move quickly around the gymnasium whilst making full use of the various obstacles laid out. Practice numerous jumps, rolls, climbs, vaults and swings to reach the other side as fast as you can! By the end of the lesson you will be known as either a traceur (men) or a traceuse (women)!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your experience will begin with a full safety briefing before an introduction to the up and coming extreme sport, parkour! Your qualified instructor will run you through the basic techniques to move from one side of the gymnasium to the other, whilst efficiently using the obstacles laid out. You will learn how to develop your routines and incorporate more daring moves as your confidence grows. Your experience will draw to a close with a demonstration lap from your tutor before a de-brief about the skills you have learnt!

Participants under 18 require parental consent.

Please wear comfortable clothing which does not restrict movement.
