Power Kite Lesson

Flying a power kite is the foundation and the basis for all of the great kite sports that have boomed in popularity in recent years. Once you've mastered the art of harnessing the wind's power, you are free to try your hand at Kitesurfing, Land Boarding, Kite Buggying and much more - totally equipped with expert knowledge in the logistics and techniques behind successfully getting the kite and your equipment to do what you want. The experts at the centre are enthusiasts themselves and tailor each session to your own requirements, ensuring you reach your desired level of kite handling!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Power Kite Lesson will begin with a safety brief and introduction to the equipment and instructor you will be learning so much off during this 2 hour experience! Then, once briefed you can begin the serious stuff, as the lesson you right from the beginning, starting with a short theory session in the centre's classroom, covering wind and weather, site assessment, equipment, safety, the wind window and riding directions.

Then you'll be out on to the beach to fly the kites, covering:

- Power kite set up and tuning
- Kite flying including safety
- Steering and kite control within the wind window
- Kite power control
- Introduction to more powerful kites

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 8

Please contact us if you feel that your height or weight may restrict your participation in Land Boarding.

Duration
The Power Kite Lesson will last for around 2 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
We recommend that you wrap up warm if it is cold, wear sturdy shoes or trainers and bring sunglasses!

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring cameras!

Weather
If it is heavily raining then it makes it difficult to go ahead. Camber is one of the driest places in the UK and the centre has a huge range of kites - so lessons are very rarely postponed.

Availability
The Power Kite Lesson is available 7 days per week, dependent on the wind & tide.
