Private Sailing Lesson

This One-to-One experince allows you to take to the open water with a qualified instructor and learn the basics of a rewarding sport, in the safety and expertise of a professional. With help from the friendly staff on-site, you will be practicing and learning everything from the ropes to the wind; and much more in between! The emphasis will be heavily on equipping you with the essential knowledge and improving your confidence, allowing you to build your skills and learn the techniques to take the sport on further. The picturesque coastal town of Weymouth is the ideal starting point, with forgiving tides and a clear waters, allowing for a smooth introduction to the age old water sport.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Private Sailing Lesson will begin with a safety brief and introduction to the equipment you will be using, covering the basic sailing techniques that you will be heavily focussing on throughout the lesson. Then, once briefed you will be out on the water getting some 'hands-on' experience in the techniques and skills, with a professional instructor closely watching on ensuring the correct methods are employed. With an emphasis on skill improvement and confidence building - this great 1 to 1 lesson is an ideal starting point for novices or a refreshing course for those with experience.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 17

Participants must be able to swim 50m comfortably.

Duration
This experience lasts approximately 6 hours, usually from 10am - 5pm.

What to Wear / Equipment
Wetsuits are provided.

You should swimming gear underneath and are advised to bring a spare pair of clothes to change into afterwards.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch, and there are cafe facilities on site.

Weather
This activity is weather dependent please check with the centre on the day that the activity is going ahead.
