The Sunseeker brand has become synonymous with both luxury and power and is the ultimate ocean going luxury yacht. With an expert skipper and crew on board, you will get to experience the style and power of these magnificent yachts first hand as you sit back and enjoy the ride before taking the helm yourself and steer the boat towards the Isle Of Wight. The turbo charged and supercharged twin 450bhp engines can propel the 40' Sunseeker to 39 knot and thanks to its sleek design, it also handles like a much smaller boat as it cuts through the waves. Along the way, you will be passing the magnificent ships that are moored in the docks at Southampton and get great views of the Isle Of Wight.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre you will meet your skipper and crew for the day. After a safety briefing it is time to take to the sea, as you slowly exit the marina passing the luxury boats in their moorings. You then have your chance to take the wheel and drive the boat yourself with your instructor by your side. When you reach the open waters of the solent and the speed restrictions end, your skipper will take you on an exciting ride reaching speeds of 39 knots, before handing the controls back over to you for another go. During this time you will be heading out into the solent, around Bramble Bank and across to the Isle of Wight. When you reach the River Medina on the Isle Of Wight you have the chance to take in the views and have your photograph taken on the Helm.

Maximum Weight per Child: 7.5 stone
Maximum Weight per Adult: 16 stone

Duration
This experience lasts approximately 2.5 hours.

What to Wear / Equipment
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting wet, Sungalsses, hat/cap, suncream and wear non slip footwear such as trainers.
You will be provided with a life jacket on the day - Children must wear a life jacket at all times.

Group Size / Spectators
This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike. Spectators are welcome, there are many local attractions all within 5 minutes walking distance, If they wanted to keep themselves occupied.

Weather
This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please contact the centre on the day to make sure it is going ahead.

Availability
The Sunseeker Experience is available on selected Saturdays throughout April-October and Occasional Sundays throughout April-October.
Experiences start at 10:00am, 12.30pm or 3:00pm.
