Tandem Skydive Cambridge

Tandem Skydiving in Cambridge is fantastic for a great number of reasons, including the picturesque visuals of the surrounding countryside, the proximity to London and the fact it takes place from a great height of 13,500ft! The incredible feeling of free fall is one of man's most desirable sensations, and with 30-40 seconds covering around 5,000ft; you will be subject to the intense rush of adrenaline as your body tries to fathom falling so far... and at speeds of 120mph! The planes at Cambridge's North London Parachute centre can take up to 500 skydivers per day - and when combined with their own airfield (Chatteris), March is the most popular choice and the most frequented skydiving centre in the UK.

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to Chatteris Airfield in Cambridge, your tandem skydive experience will begin with a registration and form signing session. Then, you'll go to the classroom to watch a video before moving on to the mats to begin your practical demonstration. Once fully briefed and ready, you will don the safety gear - consisting of a boiler suit, a cap, gloves and goggles. Then, after the briefing and getting dressed - you'll get out on the runway ready to fly up to 13,500ft for your dive! Sat between the legs of your instructor, you and your fellow skydivers will be sat in 2 rows ready to shuffle up and jump out of the open hatch one after another! Once you've made the jump, you'll be experiencing the rush of free fall for 30-40 seconds before the instructor deploys the parachute - initiating around 8 minutes of gently floating back to ground level. Once landed, you'll be presented with a certificate to commemorate your skydive with.
