Tandem Skydiving in Kent at Headcorn Airfield is the ideal adrenaline experience for those close to London, as the lush countryside of Kent coupled with the 12,000ft drop of jumping from a plane are the ideal combination. As London's closest Tandem Skydive drop zone, the Headcorn Skydiving centre is around 45 minutes from the the centre of our Capital City - and has proven a popular choice down the years, with over half a million registered jumps during 30 years of operation. With an experienced instructor controlling every aspect of the jump, you are to be the excited passenger on the most enthralling journey Kent has to offer!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to Headcorn your Tandem Skydive Experience in Kent with signing the registration forms, before sitting through a safety and technique brief. Then, once briefed and ready - you'll hit the mats for a demonstration in where to tuck your head and legs during the dive. Once fully briefed and full of theory, you'll take to the runway ready to fly up to 12,000ft to begin your jump! Sat between the legs of your instructor and strapped by your back to his chest, you'll sit in a row of skydivers ready to shuffle up to the hatch and jump once at the desired height. At the instructor's call, you will dangle your legs over the edge of the plane and roll forward to drop and experience around 30-40 seconds of free fall. The instructor will open the parachute at around 8,000ft and you'll enjoy around 4-5 minutes of parachuting back to ground level - with stunning views of Headcorn Airfield and the surrounding 'Garden of England' countryside of Kent.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 16
Maximum Age: Over 40's Need BPA Declaration of Fitness (signed by the Doctor)
Men's Maximum Weight: 14.5 stone
Women's Maximum Weight: 13.5 stone

All skydivers in Kent are required to complete a declaration of health - which must be witnessed. For under 18s, this witness must be a parent or guardian.

If you are disabled this does not mean you cannot skydive!

Duration
Skydiving in Kent can take anything from two hours to a whole day.

The skydive itself will last for around 10 minutes from jumping out of the plane - with 30-40 seconds of free fall followed by 6-7 minutes of parachuting back to earth.

What to Wear / Equipment
You can wear comfortable and casual clothes for your Tandem Skydive in Kent, as you will be wearing the safety gear supplied at the centre.

This safety equipment will be a boiler suit, goggles, cap & gloves.

Group Size / Spectators
Friends and family are welcome to watch your Tandem Skydive in Kent, and are encouraged to bring a camera to capture your excitement prior to the jump.

There is an onsite canteen that serves food and refreshments to watch the skydivers from. However, the site is not ideal for babies and young children.

Weather
Skydiving from Headcorn Airfield is weather dependent.

The wind must be less than 24mph, the cloud must not restrict the view of the landing area - and visibility must be at least 5km.

If the weather is not permitting the jump you will wait around at the centre for the skies to clear; or if it isn't getting any better you can rearrange for a more convenient date.

Availability
Skydiving in Kent at Headcorn Airfield is available 6 days per week in the Winter, and 7 days per week in the Summer.

This ticket is valid for weekdays only - a fee will be charged at the centre to upgrade on a weekend.
